(1) Christ's answer to John's disciples. (2-6) Christ's testimony to John the Baptist. (7-15) The perverseness of the Jews. (16-24) The gospel revealed to the simple. The heavy-laden invited. (25-30)“ - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in the New Testament Matthew 11 NKJV. In this Scripture is we see Jesus telling us that scriptural prophesy is being fulfilled. Here is a look at the prophesy; “17 Is it not yet a very little while Till Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, And the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest? 18 In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. 19 The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel.“ Isaiah 29:17-19 NKJV. Listen to and digest (Matthew 4:4) what we are feasting on. This is how we can tell that Jesus was fulfilling Old Testament prophesy. This is where faith is offered (Romans 10:17) in God’s Word the fulfillment of that which was prophesied; “4 Jesus answered and said to them, "Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: 5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 6 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me."” Matthew 11:4-6 NKJV.
