Responsibilities Are Whose?

Today’s Feast

Feb. 20, 2016 1 Kings 15

Responsibilities Are Whose?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

9 Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.”  Proverbs 17:9, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 15; “Wicked reign of Abijam, king of Judah. (1-8) Good reign of Asa, king of Judah. (9-24) The evil reigns of Nadab and Baasha in Israel. (25-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

For today we prayerfully read, 1 Kings 15.  We saw, Jeroboam sinning against God, which caused Abijah his son to be sick and die.  The reign of Abijam, king of Judah, started out good, but he failed to obey God in all his precepts.  Good reign of Asa, king of Judah, he followed and obeyed God in all his precepts. The evil reigns of Nadab and Baasha in Israel.  “33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel at Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years. 34 He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his sin which he made Israel to sin.1 Kings 15:33-34,  ESV.   What we see here is that as the father does usually the son follows.  There are exceptions look at King Asa for example.  Christian men and mothers look at the problems we found in this chapter.  Children usually proceed in life in the example you set. That is why we should always keep God’s commandments and follow God with all our might, doing only that which was right in God’s eyes. “[Lay Up Treasures in Heaven] “ 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

” Matthew 6:19-21, ESV.  Jesus set the example for us, he alone was worthy.  As a parent you must do what is right to set the example for your family.  When you are setting the example you should be keeping the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Remember parents it’s your job to see that your children become part of God’s family. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now; do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information; admenu.com/calling.htm .
