Who Should We Witness To?

Who Should We Witness To?

August 3, 2013 – Galatians 1

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading in Galatians 1.

Galatians an Overview;

The churches in Galatia were formed partly of converted Jews, and partly of Gentile converts, as was generally the case. St. Paul asserts his apostolic character and the doctrines he taught, that he might confirm the Galatian churches in the faith of Christ, especially with respect to the important point of justification by faith alone. Thus the subject is mainly the same as that which is discussed in the epistle to the Romans, that is, justification by faith alone. In this epistle, however, attention is particularly directed to the point, that men are justified by faith without the works of the law of Moses. Of the importance of the doctrines prominently set forth in this epistle, Luther thus speaks: "We have to fear as the greatest and nearest danger, lest Satan take from us this doctrine of faith, and bring into the church again the doctrine of works and of men's traditions. Wherefore it is very necessary that this doctrine be kept in continual practice and public exercise, both of reading and hearing. If this doctrine be lost, then is also the doctrine of truth, life and salvation, lost and gone."” - Matthew Henry Commentary Concise

The apostle Paul greets the saints at Galatia emphasizing his apostleship. He warns the Galatians about turning from the gospel of Christ by listening to false teachers. Paul tells the the saints in Galatia that he could not be a servant of Christ if he was seeking mans approval. He tells them about his ministry and what he had seen as he served Jesus. “18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and remained with him fifteen days. 19 But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord's brother. 20 (In what I am writing to you, before God, I do not lie!) 21 Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 And I was still unknown in person to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. 23 They only were hearing it said, “He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they glorified God because of me. Galatians 1:18-23 English Standard Version (ESV). Where has your walk with Jesus taken you? Are you sure of your faith? With whom do you share Jesus? “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 ESV. Jesus makes it very clear concerning who we should share His love with (see John 3-16).

Can you still hear Jesus calling; “sinner com home!” He won’t call forever, now is the time to answer his call. Do you want to choose good over evil? If the answer is yes please click the following link;

(1-5) He reproves the Galatians for revolting from the gospel of Christ under the influence of evil teachers. (6-9) He proves the Divine authority of his doctrine and mission; and declares what he was before his conversion and calling. (10-14) And how he proceeded after it. Jesus Loves Us How much?

Jesus Loves Us How much?

August 2, 2013 – Job 42

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Job 42. Job comes to his senses and he humbly submits to God. Job's friends wronged God by making prosperity part of belonging to salvation. So Job intercedes for his friends. Job's prosperity and health was renewed. “12 And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning. And he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. 13 He had also seven sons and three daughters. 14 And he called the name of the first daughter Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch. 15 And in all the land there were no women so beautiful as Job's daughters. And their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. 16 And after this Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, four generations. 17 And Job died, an old man, and full of days.” Job 42:12-17 English Standard Version (ESV). If we wonder from our walk with Jesus, he will never abandon us to our sin. He is faithful to put your life back on track when we repent and ask him to forgive us. “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 ESV. Jesus loves us so much he gave his life for us while we were still sinners.

How Do We Deal With Evil?

How Do We Deal With Evil?

August 1, 2013 – Job 41

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Job 41. Call it Behemoth, Monster, Sin, Leviathan or Satan only God is is powerful enough to save us; “33 On earth there is not his like,
a creature without fear.
34 He sees everything that is high;
he is king over all the sons of pride.”Job 41:22-24 English Standard Version (ESV).
Jesus is the only name under heaven by winch mankind can be saved from the evil in our lives. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.” Psalm 119:114 ESV. Even Michael the archangel when dealing with Satan turned to God. “But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.” Our righteousness and power is in our lord Jesus.

Thank You Jesus!

Thank You Jesus!

July 31, 2013 – Job 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Job 40. Job humbles himself saying; “Behold, I am of small account...” to God. The Lord challenges Job to show his morality, ability, and wisdom. The power God is shown in the Behemoth; “22 For his shade the lotus trees cover him;
the willows of the brook surround him.
23 Behold, if the river is turbulent he is not frightened;
he is confident though Jordan rushes against his mouth.
24 Can one take him by his eyes,
or pierce his nose with a snare?” Job 40:22-24 English Standard Version (ESV).
Today I want to thank Jesus for all the Saint's who prayed with us, the people at Greyhound Lines and the Police agencies who helped us find Rebecca. Yesterday my niece called and said; “Rebecca has run away and we think she took a Greyhound bus to Victorville.” While my wife and daughter (Rebecca's Aunt) began contacting the police, sheriff and Greyhound company to organize a search, I started praying. The next thing I did was went to facebook and posted a picture of Rebecca, gave a brief description of the situation and asked for prayer. You see although Rebecca is 21 years old, she is mentally challenged and has the mind of an 11 year old. I thank those who prayed with us, as well as those who called to offer help and the agencies who were involved in searching for her. Rebecca did get on a bus to Victorville. Somehow she transferred buses in in route and was found at the Greyhound depot in Indio, CA. She was unharmed and the people at Greyhound put her on the next bus to San Bernardino where my wife and daughter picked her up. My Nephew Jeff is going to drive her to Sacramento, where her parents will meet him and pick Rebecca up. I know the only reason she is safe is Jesus honored your prayers. “16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.James 5:16 ESV. We give all the glory and thanksgiving to Jesus, Amen!

Is It Old News?

Is It Old News?

July 30, 2013 – Job 39

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Job 39. God speaks to Job concerning the untamed creatures so Job will see, that as men we are unfit to give law and pass judgment on others. Speaking of the hawk God said; “28 On the rock he dwells and makes his home,
on the rocky crag and stronghold.
29 From there he spies out the prey;
his eyes behold it from far away.
30 His young ones suck up blood,
and where the slain are, there is he.”Job 39:28-30 English Standard Version (ESV).
Did you notice the artwork today, it looks like a news paper. I pray that none of you would read God's word and toss aside like yesterday's news. Because if God's Word is boring to you, it will show in your witness. ““You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven...Matthew 5:14,16 ESV.

Guidance And Understanding!

Guidance And Understanding!

July 29, 2013 – Job 38

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Job 38. “God calls upon Job and humbling him. God questions Job concerning his pride. God questions job about the light and darkness to convince him of his ignorance. God shows Job his weakness compared to God's mighty works. 39 “Can you hunt the prey for the lion,
or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
40 when they crouch in their dens
or lie in wait in their thicket?
41 Who provides for the raven its prey,
when its young ones cry to God for help,
and wander about for lack of food?Job 38:39-41 ESV. In today's Feast God asked Job a question that we may all want to consider in verse four; “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?” When we realize how much we don't know we will cling to Jesus for salvation and God's and Word for guidance and understanding. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.” Psalm 119:93 ESV.

This Feast Is For You!

This Feast Is For You!

July 28, 2013 – Job 37

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Job 37. Elihu observes the power of God; he causes all things to happen whether for correction, land or for love. He calls on Job to consider the wondrous works of God. Our God is awesome! God is great, and is to be feared. “22 Out of the north comes golden splendor;
God is clothed with awesome majesty.
23 The Almighty—we cannot find him;
he is great in power;
justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
24 Therefore men fear him;
he does not regard any who are wise in their own conceit. Job 37:22-24 English Standard Version (ESV).
We have no nee\d to Judge men that is reserved for God. Someone told me that we must judge men so we can know whether or not they are sinners. I will say this all creation needs Jesus as their savior. Rely on God's Word and the Holy Spirit for discernment when dealing with any person. “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 ESV. As Jesus is our savior he will guide us in our life.

27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.Hebrews 9:27-28 ESV.
