Also, to caution against the influence of false teachers, who by subtle distinctions and endless disputes, corrupted the purity and simplicity of the gospel. He presses upon him constant regard to the greatest diligence, faithfulness, and zeal. (8-15)”  -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading 1 Timothy  Chapter 1 & Chapter 2 In today’s Feast In Chapter 1 the people are warned against promoting un-repentant sinners as members of the Church.  The stratagem of God’s law and Paul’s call to the apostleship.  The Saints are prompted to carry on sharing the gospel in good faith imitating Jesus.  In Chapter 2 we are told to pray for all persons, with no regard for their positions or their outward appearance. How men and women ought to behave in an orderly manner, in every aspect of their life.  We are reminded there is one mediator between men and God.  “18 This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith,” 1 Timothy 1:18-19  (English Standard Version) ESV.   Jesus said if we have faith and do not doubt, we will have the power to move mountains (see Matthew 21:21).   Jesus came and died on the cross for any person willing to repent from their sin and accept the gift of salvation.  “16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;”  John 4:23-24 ESV.  Jesus is sent from God the Father to redeem the sinners (see 1 Timothy 2:5).  Jesus didn’t come to save the righteous; he came to rescue those who are lost in sin. What Does Wisdom Begin With?

And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 Proverbs 31, Verse1-9. “An exhortation to king Lemuel to take heed of sin, and to do duties.” Verse 10-31. “The description of a virtuous woman. In today’s Feast The King is advised to live an upright and sin free life as a leader f the land.  The good wife is pictured as living a life dedicated to God and her family.   “9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy; 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.” Proverbs 31:9; 31 (English Standard Version) ESV.   The words of king Lempel would be good advice to any person at home, work and as a parent (see 1 Timothy 3:12).  Those women who would have the perfect family would be wise to conduct their affairs like the good wife pictured in these verses (see Proverbs 31:10-31).  The most important relationship any man or woman has is the spiritual one with God.  “23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”  John 4:23-24 ESV.  Keep this in mind; unless a person is born again they can’t be in a real relationship with Jesus (see 1 Peter 1:3).  Let’s worship Jesus in spirit and truth acknowledging that, the fear of the Lord is just the beginning of knowledge. Will We Do It With Love And Compassion

Today’s Feast clic aquí en español * Jan. 28, 2014 – Proverbs 30 Do It With Love And Compassion “He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe.” Proverbs 28:26 Proverbs 30, Verse 1. “Agur speaks of himself as wanting a righteousness, and having done very foolishly. And it becomes us all to have low thoughts of ourselves.”  Verse 29-33. “We may learn from animals to go well; also to keep our temper under all provocations. We must keep the evil thought in our minds from breaking out into evil speeches. We must not stir up the passions of others. Let nothing be said or done with violence, but every thing with softness and calmness. Alas, how often have we done foolishly in rising up against the Lord our King! Let us humble ourselves before him. In today’s Feast Can be used for all godly instruction; We take a good look at where and in whom the saints should be putting our trust.   “27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, but one whose way is straight is an abomination to the wicked.” Proverbs 30:27 (English Standard Version) ESV.   Pride and cruelty, exalts wicked men who are not worthy to hold power; foolish men who punish their piers rob them of succor (see Proverbs 19:10, 28:3).  Those who add to God’s Word will be found out as liars (see Proverbs 30:6).  We need to hold fast to God’s Word persons who pervert God’s words will earn a liars reward.  “6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.”  Galatians 1:6-8 ESV.  Stand fast in your faith and the gospel we have received from Jesus (see Romans 10:17).   If someone comes with other books or bible versions that say “Jesus is not the only begotten son of God” (see John 3:16) witness to them.  Don’t act foolish or slam the door in their face.  Be a loving witness to the power of God’s love.  Tell them that Jesus loves them.  Tell them that all they need is the whole Word of God and the Holy Spirit to give them understanding. You may even ask them to pray with you.  Jesus will bless the faithful. We Discern Or Become Worldly?

Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 4:4 Proverbs 29, Verse 1. “If God wounds, who can heal? The word of God warns all to flee from the wrath to come, to the hope set before us in Jesus Christ.”  Verse 27. “The just man abhors the sins of the wicked, and shuns their company. Christ exposed the wickedness of men, yet prayed for the wicked when they were crucifying him. Hatred to sin in ourselves and others, is a needful branch of the Christian temper. Today’s Feast clic aquí en español * Jan. 26, 2014 – Proverbs 28 The Gospel Leads To Jesus, The Love For Others Will Lead To Life “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 Proverbs 28, Verse 1. “Sin makes men cowards. Whatever difficulties the righteous meet in the way of duty, they are not daunted.” Verse 28. ”When power is put into the hands of the wicked, wise men decline public business. If the reader will go diligently over this and the other chapters, in many places where at first he may suppose there is least of Christ, still he will find what will lead to him.” -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading proverbs Chapter 28. In today’s Feast the stingy and foolish are compared to the faithful wise.   “25 A greedy man stirs up strife, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be enriched.  26 Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.” Proverbs 28:25-26 (English Standard Version) ESV.   A wise and humble believer will be exalted by Jesus (see James 4:10). While a greedy person will lose all that they possess (see Proverbs 28:22).  Jesus said that the wise and faithful believer who loves their neighbor and Jesus is fulfilling God’s commandments.  “37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.””  Matthew 22:37-40 ESV.  We must love the sinner not judge them.  Faith in Jesus is useless without love (see 1 Corinthians 13:1-4).  It’s more important to tell a sinner what faith in Jesus does for them, than to tell them what the wages of their sin will get them.
