Today’s
Feast
Feb. 9,
2014 – Ecclesiastes 7
The
Contrast of Wisdom and Folly
“5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
Psalm
23:5
Ecclesiastes Chapter
7, “The benefit of a good name; of
death above life; of sorrow above vain mirth. (1-6) Concerning oppression,
anger, and discontent. (7-10) Advantages of wisdom. (11-22) Experience of the
evil of sin. (23-29)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully
continue our Feast reading Ecclesiastes Chapter 7. In God’s Word we see the differences between
wisdom and folly. “29 See, this alone I found, that God made man upright, but they
have sought out many schemes.“ Ecclesiastes 7:29
English Standard Version (ESV). While we may be angry about what is going on
around us we
must not fall into sin. So we must turn
what angers us over to Jesus (See
Ephesians
4:26) every day before we sleep.
By the same token we should not worry about our lives but rather seek God
with thanksgiving and prayer in the name of Jesus in every circumstance.
“31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or
‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after
all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But
seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will
be added to you.“ Matthew 6:31-33 ESV. Seek wisdom in God’s
Word there you will find wisdom (See Romans 10:17) that
will reinforce your faith.

Who Will You Choose To Follow?
|
Today’s
Feast
Feb. 8,
2014 – Ecclesiastes 6
Who Will
You Choose To Follow?
“22 Shall we provoke the Lord to
jealousy? Are we stronger than he?” 1 Corinthians
10:22
Ecclesiastes Chapter
6, “The vanity of riches. Also of long
life and flourishing families. (1-6) The little advantage any one has in outward
things. (7-12)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully
continue our Feast reading Ecclesiastes Chapter 5. When is a man satisfied with his
condition? Can man live a long life
without growing old? Is a man with many
possessions more comfortable than a man who has few and yet is content? “12 For who knows what is good for man while he lives the few days
of his vain life, which he passes like a shadow? For who can tell man what will
be after him under the sun?“ Ecclesiastes
5:19-20
English Standard Version (ESV). Is a person who
possesses all he can see or survey better off (See
Luke 9:25) than a man who knows only Jesus. "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and
hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he
makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and
on the unjust.“ Matthew 5:43-45 ESV. A
person who elects to choose man over God chooses a liar (see
John 8:44), they will receive a liars reward.
Is Jesus calling
you? Are you tired of lies? Do you want to find true happiness, peace and
purpose in your life? If the answer is
yes to any of these questions please click the following link;

Let Not Your Mouth Lead You!
|
Today’s
Feast
Feb. 7,
2014 – Ecclesiastes 5
Let Not
Your Mouth Lead You!
“Let the peace of Christ rule in
your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be
thankful.” Colossians 3:15
Ecclesiastes Chapter
5, “What renders devotion vain. (1-3)
Of vows, and oppression. (4-8) the vanity of riches shown. (9-7) The right use
of riches. (18-20)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our
Feast reading Ecclesiastes Chapter 5. When we call on God he knows our hearts, so
avoid vain repetitions. We must examine
our hearts before we make a vow. Whatever task our Lord has assigned to us will
be counted as joy when we do it to the glory of God. “19 Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and
power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the
gift of God. 20 For he will not much remember the days of his life because God
keeps him occupied with joy in his heart.“ Ecclesiastes 5:19-20
English Standard Version (ESV). We
have no need to be anxious for
anything (See
Matthew 6:25) while we are following Jesus.
"O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his
saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm
97:10“ - Psalm 33:4-5 ESV. We can be secure in our
salvation! Because when we accepted our
Lord Jesus as our Savior, we have His Word (see
Hebrews 13:5), that He will never leave nor forsake us.
Do you feel like Jesus
is calling you? Do you want Jesus to be
your friend? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

What Is It We Pursue?
|
Today’s
Feast
Feb. 6,
2014 – Ecclesiastes 4
What Is It We
Pursue?
“21 Whoever pursues righteousness
and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.” Proverbs
21:21
Ecclesiastes Chapter
4, “Miseries from oppression. (1-3)
troubles from envy. (4-6) The folly of covetousness. (7,8) The advantages of
mutual assistance. (9-12) the changes of royalty. (13-16)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our
Feast reading Ecclesiastes Chapter 4.
Evil men are going
to hate and despise life. No
good comes
from a man's envy of his neighbor. A
selfish man cares for nobody but himself.
A wise man will work
hard blessing those he loves. “15 I saw all the living who move about under the sun, along with
that youth who was to stand in the king's place. 16 There was no end of all the
people, all of whom he led. Yet those who come later will not rejoice in him.
Surely this also is vanity and a striving after wind.“
Ecclesiastes
4:15-16 English
Standard Version (ESV). If we strive to imitate Jesus we will love our neighbors
pray for those who persecute the church (See
Matthew 5:43-44). "For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in
faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the
steadfast love of the Lord.“ -
Psalm 33:4-5
ESV. We
are born again pursuing the love of God. We will love our neighbor. In doing so
we are fulfilling God’s law (see
Romans
13:10). Continue to pursue the love of God and share
salvation in Jesus name.
Listen! Is Jesus
calling you? Would you like to walk with
Jesus? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?
