A Watchman For God

Today’s Feast
July 17, 2014-Ezekiel 3
A Watchman For God

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' " Matthew 4:4

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Lamentations Chapter 3; “The preparation of the prophet for his work. (1-11) His office, as that of a watchman. (12-2) The restraining and restoring his speech. (22-27)
Verses 1-11 Ezekiel was to receive the truths of God as the food for his soul, and to feed upon them by faith, and he would be strengthened… Christ promises to strengthen him. He must continue earnest in preaching, whatever the success might be.
Verses 12-21 This mission made the holy angels rejoice. All this was to convince Ezekiel, that the God who sent him had power to bear him out in his work... Surely then the hearers of the gospel should desire warnings, and even reproofs.
Verses 22-27 Let us own ourselves for ever indebted to the mediation of Christ, for the blessed intercourse between God and man; and a true believer will say, I am never less alone than when thus alone. When the Lord opened Ezekiel's mouth, he was to deliver his message boldly, to place life and death, the blessing and the curse, before the people, and leave them to their choice.“  - Matthew Henry Concise.
We share the Word of God (see Deuteronomy 8:3) as food for the soul..  A properly nourished soul (see Romans 10:17) brings faith to fruition.   The faith we have in God’s Word (see James 2:20) serves to produce good works.  Like Ezekiel we carry the Word of God and it yields Gods purposes; 27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house. Ezekiel 3:27 English Standard Version (ESV).  God’s Word is a two edged sword (see Hebrews 4:12) that separates what is bad away from what is good.  The Holy Spirit will bring to our remembrance all what we read in God’s Word (see John 14:26) when we need to use it. [The Righteous Shall Live by Faith] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Colossians 2:8-10   ESV.  As watchmen for God we can go forth with confidence in our faith; knowing that Jesus (see  Hebrews 13:5) will never leave or forsake us.

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.” Colossians 2:8-10   ESV.

God is Calling

Today’s Feast
July 16, 2014-Ezekiel 2
God is Calling

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Lamentations Chapter 2; The prophet is directed what he is to do. (1-5) And encouraged to be resolute, faithful, and devoted. (6-10)
Verses 1-5 Lest Ezekiel should be lifted up with the abundance of the revelations, he is put in mind that still he is a son of man, a weak, mortal creature. As Christ usually called himself the Son of man, it was also an honourable distinction… Many might treat his message with contempt, yet they should know by the event that a prophet had been sent to them. God will be glorified, and his word made honourable, whether it be a savour of life unto life, or of death unto death.
Verses 6-10 Those who will do any thing to purpose in the service of God, must not fear men. Wicked men are as briers and thorns; but they are nigh unto cursing, and their end is to be burned…  The discoveries of sin, and the warnings of wrath, should be matter of lamentation. And those acquainted with the word of God, will clearly perceive it is filled with woe to impenitent sinners; and that all the precious promises of the gospel are for the repenting, believing servants of the Lord.“  - Matthew Henry Concise.
This world and everything in it was (see John 1:1-5) created by our God.  Men loved the world and darkness they disobeyed God (see John 3:19) seeking a place to hide from God’s Light they choose darkness.   Just as God called Ezekiel (see Ezekiel 2:1-3) God is calling us to carry Gods to our rebellious neighborsWe like Ezekiel are called to nourish ourselves on Gods Word and separate ourselves from the rebellion; “But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Be not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you.” 9 And when I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me, and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. 10 And he spread it before me. And it had writing on the front and on the back, and there were written on it words of lamentation and mourning and woe. Ezekiel 1:26-28  English Standard Version (ESV).  We are not called to get caught up in genealogies, politics, border wars or anything else; (see 2 Timothy 4:1-5) we are called to study God’s word and share Jesus’ message.  God has sent us leaders to teach sound doctrine (see Ephesians 4:12-13) so that we are equipped to carry God’s Word. It’s time for you to make the choice, no one can make it for you (see Hebrews 3:12-14) don’t allow the enemy to harden your heart.  Choose one side or the other (see Luke 16:13) you can’t serve two masters.  Today is the day of (see 2 Corinthians 6:1-3) salvation.

Ezekiel Sees the Lord’s Glory

Ezekiel Sees the Lord’s Glory

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Lamentations Chapter 1; “Ezekiel's vision of God, and of the angelic host. (1-14) The conduct of Divine Providence. (15-25)A revelation of the Son of man upon his heavenly throne. (26-28).
Overview; Ezekiel was one of the priests; he was carried captive to Chaldea with Jehoiachin. All his prophecies appear to have been delivered in that country, at some place north of Babylon. Their chief object appears to have been to comfort his brethren in captivity. He is directed to warn of the dreadful calamities coming upon Judea, particularly upon the false prophets, and the neighbouring nations. Also to announce the future restoration of Israel and Judah from their several dispersions, and their happy state in their latter days, under the Messiah. Much of Christ will be found in this book, especially in the conclusion. - Matthew Henry Concise.
The first three verses introduce Ezekiel a priest in the service of the most High God and he is having a vision.  The Holy Spirit of the Lord came to Ezekiel (see Ezekiel 1:1-14 ) in this vision he is explaining as best he can the Glory of God.   The providence of God (see Ezekiel 1:15-25) is being expressed in all of Gods Glory.  Ezekiel is trying to express the Glory of God on the throne; 26 And above the expanse over their heads there was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and seated above the likeness of a throne was a likeness with a human appearance. 27 And upward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were gleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around. And downward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him. 28 Like the appearance ofthe bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around.
Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking.Ezekiel 1:26-28  English Standard Version (ESV).  Prophesy and visions by the Holy Spirit filling the people of God did not pass with the Old Testament; (see Acts 2:17) the Holy Spirit is still alive in today’s Church according to God’s Word. 21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” John 15:10   ESV.  Remember this at all times Saints (see 1 John 2:15) while we live and serve God in the world we are followers of Jesus.  Let our every action and word (see Matthew 5:16) Glorify God in the name of Jesus.

Listen carefully, is Jesus calling you?  Do you want to know God’s Word?   Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link; http://www.admenu.com/calling.htm
