 What Do You Share?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:35, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 12; “Rehoboam's accession, The people's petition, His rough answer. (1-15) Ten tribes revolt. (16-24) Jeroboam's idolatry. (25-33)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we see Rehoboam’s terrible treatment of the people.  These actions cause ten tribes revolt.   Jeroboam sets up idols, to purposely keep his subjects from worshipping the true God; “25 Then Jeroboam built Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim and lived there. And he went out from there and built Penuel. 26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now the kingdom will turn back to the house of David. 27 If this people go up to offer sacrifices in the temple of the Lord at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people will turn again to their lord, to Rehoboam king of Judah, and they will kill me and return to Rehoboam king of Judah.” 28 So the king took counsel and made two calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. Behold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.” 29 And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. 30 Then this thing became a sin, for the people went as far as Dan to be before one.  31 He also made temples on high places and appointed priests from among all the people, who were not of the Levites. 32 And Jeroboam appointed a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month like the feast that was in Judah, and he offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places that he had made. 33 He went up to the altar that he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, in the month that he had devised from his own heart. And he instituted a feast for the people of Israel and went up to the altar to make offerings.” 1 Kings 12:25-33, ESV.   When men’s actions are evil they will purposely avoid the true God.  The plain truth is they will only have a harder life, losing all hope in their hearts.  As for us we have a calling that will ask them to turn to Jesus; “[Called to Be Holy] 13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.1 Peter 1:13, ESV. Our God is not willing that any should parish.  This is why we need to keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Share your hope with all people.  If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Should You Follow Your Heart?

Today’s Feast

Feb. 16, 2016 1 Kings 11

 Should You Follow Your Heart?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

11 Love One Another ] For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 1 John 3:11, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 11; “Solomon's wives and concubines, His idolatry. (1-8) God's anger. (9-13) Solomon's adversaries. (14-25)Jeroboam's promotion. (26-40) The death of Solomon. (41-43)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we see proof that men’s hearts are continually wicked.  Solomon a man richly blessed by God turns his heart to false God’s. Solomon’s reign end’s after only forty years.   “42 And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years. 43 And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.”  1 Kings 11:42-43, ESV.   We as children adopted into the family of God, should always guard against our hearts.  “16 Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, 17 learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.Isaiah 1:16-17, ESV.  Jesus died that we might have a more abundant life.  Always keeping the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Follow Jesus not your heart.  Your days will be filled with the joy of the Lord.  If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Displaying Our Gifts?

 Displaying Our Gifts?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 10; “The queen of Sheba's visit to Solomon. (1-13) Solomon's wealth. (14-29)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 10.  God gives Solomon wisdom, and people flock to see him in adoration of this Godly gift.  “23 Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom. 24 And the whole earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put into his mind.”  1 Kings 10:23-24, ESV.   God gave all who accept it, the gift of salvation.  How we display this gift is important to God.  Just as King Solomon let his gift display his love of God, we need to humbly display our gift of salvation.  “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?Micah 6:8, ESV.  If we humbly walk displaying our gifts from God people will flock to us to hear about our relationship with Jesus.  Humbly share your gift in love keeping the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Just living a Godly life will be a witness of what Jesus has done for you.  Then people will gladly seek the gift we have found, not religion a relationship with Jesus. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Wise Servant Of Jesus

Today’s Feast

Feb. 14, 2016 1 Kings 9

 Wise Servant Of Jesus

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 9; “God's answer to Solomon. (1-9) The presents of Solomon and Hiram. (10-14) Solomon's buildings, His trade. (15-28)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

God warns Solomon, and his people might not be high-minded, but to continue to be God fearing.  Sometimes as congregations have been mightily blessed they tend to think that they have more liberties than those less blessed.  God is saying it would be better for Him to chasten them, than for them to go on with ease and prosperity in sin.  “And the Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me. I have consecrated this house that you have built, by putting my name there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my rules,”  1 Kings 9:3-4, ESV.   God will bless us but we must still serve and praise Him.  He doesn’t want religious people nor should we turn our Church building into a club house, exclusive from those less blessed.  The way we please God is continuing to love Him, and share that love with as many as possible.  “11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,Titus 2:11-12, ESV.  We continue to serve God, as we keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  We don’t think that we have the corner on God because he is blessing us.  The best religion is the ones that continue to love praise and serve God, in Jesus precious name. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Wisely Serving Jesus!

Today’s Feast

Feb. 13, 2016 1 Kings 8

 Wisely Serving Jesus!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

For God So Loved the World ] “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 8; “The dedication of the temple. (1-11) The occasion. (12-21) Solomon's prayer. (22-53) His blessing and exhortation. (54-61) Solomon's peace-offerings. (62-66)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

God blessed Solomon and all the people. Bless God from whom all blessings flow.  “56 “Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. 57 The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us, 58 that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers. 59 Let these words of mine, with which I have pleaded before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, and may he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as each day requires, 60 that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no other. 61 Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.”” 1 Kings 8:56-61, ESV.   Again our God is truly awesome.  Our very lives belong to Him, allow him to guide us in every word we speak and every deed we do.  Truly all the Glory goes to our awesome God. “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.Psalm 90:12, ESV.  We continue to follow Jesus in all we do.  We ask God to give us wisdom that we might serve Him to the highest extent.  Wisely serving him as we keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  We ask for the wisdom so that we might clearly be a blessing to our God.  Our Awesome God from whom all blessings flow. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
