approximately three years.
“22 Do they not go astray who devise evil? Those
who devise good meet steadfast love and faithfulness.” Proverbs 14:22, English Standard
Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 18; “Elijah sends Ahab notice of his coming. (1-16) Elijah meets Ahab. (17-20) Elijah's trial of the false prophets. (21-40) Elijah, by prayer, obtains rain. (41-46)” - Matthew Henry Concise.Today we see that Elijah challenges the priests of Baal and proves to all of Israel that our God is the one true God! Let’s look at the faith Elijah had in prayer. He had to keep praying for rain. He didn’t give up after one two or even six times. The seventh time he prayed God gave him the sign. “44 And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, a little cloud like a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’” 45 And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel. 46 And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah, and he gathered up his garment and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” 1 Kings 18:44-46, ESV. If God doesn’t answer you the first time you pray keep praying. Be like a child in the toy store begging his dad for a toy. Don’t give up until you get an answer. Then take the appropriate action like Elijah did! No matter what God’s answer, be thankful for he always knows what’s best for His children; “26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26-28, ESV. Jesus makes us all one in his family, you and I are as important as Elijah to God. If you want something pray in Jesus name, know that he is going to answer and whatever the answer give God the glory. Let’s keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Remember as members of God’s family He wants the best for you and I. We are his children!

“18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 17; “Elijah fed by ravens. (1-7) Elijah sent to Zarephath. (8-16) Elijah raises the widow's son to life. (17-24)” - Matthew Henry Concise.Today we join together and prayerfully read, 1 Kings 17. Elijah was living in a land where the draught was so severe he had nothing to eat or drink. Because Elijah believed in Lord God and was called according to God’s purpose; God told him where to go for food and water to sustain him. “2 And the word of the Lord came to him: 3 “Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. 4 You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”” 1 Kings 17:2-4, ESV. Elijah trusted God and he stayed at by the brook Cherith patiently until it dried up and God sent him elsewhere and continued to use him. Like Elijah we need to trust God and wait patiently on our Heavenly Father until he moves us. “28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28, ESV. Continue to put Jesus first. keep the first thing first. Give God thanks every day for what you have and serve him wherever you are until He calls you to move. Remember what happened to Elijah; where God leads God provides. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Man-Up

“9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; thereforelove is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13:9-10, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 16; “The reigns of Baasha and Elah in Israel. (1-14) Reigns of Zimri and Omri in Israel. (15-28) Ahab's wickedness, Hiel rebuilds Jericho. (29-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise.Today we join together and prayerfully read, 1 Kings 16. The reigns of Baasha and Elah are shortened because they led Israel to sin against the Lord God. They worshipped false gods and idols. Zimri and Omri were plagued with fighting against one another. Ahab (not the captain that chased the white whale) was filled with wickedness. Hiel rebuilds Jericho, at the cost of his son’s lives. “33 And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 34 In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation at the cost of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.” 1 Kings 16:33-34, ESV. Listen fathers you are responsible for your family. Christian men aren’t responsible after they are raised. We need to teach them to keep God’s commandments and follow Jesus. “15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”” 1 Peter 1:15-16, ESV. Put Jesus first, it is your responsibility as the head of the family! If you are not a responsible father talk to Jesus, ask him to forgive you. Then keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Fathers you are the head of your house. God will hold you (not your wife) responsible so, man-up in Jesus!. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Responsibilities Are Whose?
Today’s Feast

Responsibilities Are Whose?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about

approximately three years.
“9 Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.” Proverbs 17:9, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 15; “Wicked reign of Abijam, king of Judah. (1-8) Good reign of Asa, king of Judah. (9-24) The evil reigns of Nadab and Baasha in Israel. (25-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise.
For today we prayerfully read, 1 Kings 15. We
saw, Jeroboam sinning against God, which caused Abijah his son to be sick and
die. The reign of Abijam, king of Judah, started out good, but he
failed to obey God in all his precepts. Good reign of Asa, king of
Judah, he followed and obeyed God in all his precepts. The evil reigns of
Nadab and Baasha in Israel. “33 In the
third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over
all Israel at Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years. 34 He did what was
evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his
sin which he made Israel to sin.” 1 Kings 15:33-34, ESV. What
we see here is that as the father does usually the son follows. There
are exceptions look at King Asa for example. Christian men
and mothers look at the problems we found in this chapter. Children
usually proceed in life in the example you set. That is why we should always
keep God’s commandments and follow God with all our might, doing only that
which was right in God’s eyes. “[Lay Up
Treasures in Heaven] “ 19 “Do not lay up for
yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and
where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and
where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where
your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
” Matthew 6:19-21, ESV. Jesus set the example for us, he alone was worthy. As a parent you must do what is right to set the example for your family. When you are setting the example you should be keeping the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Remember parents it’s your job to see that your children become part of God’s family. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Two Kings Fall!
Today’s Feast
![]()
Two Kings Fall!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We
will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in
God’s Word in approximately three years.
“11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love
one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we
love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:11-12, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 14; “Abijah being sick, his mother consults
Ahijah. (1-6) The destruction of Jeroboam's house. (7-20) Rehoboam's wicked reign. (21-31)” - Matthew Henry
Concise.
On
this day we prayerfully read, 1
Kings 14 together. We see, Jeroboam sinning against God,
which caused Abijah his son to be sick and die. His mother
consulted Ahijah. His prophesy for Jeroboam, who didn’t keep God’s
commandments and follow God with all his heart, doing only that which was
right in my eyes there is destruction of Jeroboam’s house. Both Jeroboam and
Rehoboam sinned. “30 And there was war between
Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually. 31 And Rehoboam slept
with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. His
mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. And Abijam his son
reigned in his place” 1
Kings 14:30-311, ESV. The lesson here is pretty straight
forward. We as Christians should always keep God’s commandments and
follow God with all our heart, doing only that which was right in God’s eyes.
“14 Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live; and so the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you, as
you have said.
15 Hate
evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the
LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” Amos
5:14-15, ESV. Our God has saved us as a family, and we should do
what is right as the family of God. Go forth keeping the first
thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Whatever
we do wherever we go, do so as a member of God’s family. If the lord is willing I will post and send
the Feast again tomorrow.
You’ll
