Try me and know my thoughts! 24 And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!”  Psalm 139:23-24, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 9; “Elisha sends to anoint Jehu. (1-10) Jehu and the captains. (11-15) Joram and Ahaziah slain by Jehu. (16-29)Jezebel eaten by dogs. (30-37)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading,  2 Kings 9.  God directs Elisha to anoint Jehu as king according to God’s will. To the captains the messengers who come to Jehu appears as a mad man. The evil kings Joram and Ahaziah are slain by Jehu. Jezebel is eaten by dogs.  “35 But when they went to bury her, they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands. 36 When they came back and told him, he said, “This is the word of the Lord, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite: ‘In the territory of Jezreel the dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel, 37 and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the territory of Jezreel, so that no one can say, This is Jezebel.’“ 2nd Kings 9:35-37, ESV.  Make no mistake sin will always be dealt with as sin by God.  Sin is a cancer that will not enter the kingdom God has prepared for us.   Let’s not dwell on the negative for this is not God’s will for us.  “8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8, ESV.   We are the light to the world; our purpose is to carry God’s word as ambassadors from Jesus.  Let your light shine and keep the first thing first. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 8.  A famine in Israel, but because of her kindness to Elisha the Shunammite has everything restored.  Elisha consulted by Hazael the king of Syria, Hazael murdered Benhadad.  The son of Jehoshaphat, Jehoram’s wicked reign in Judah. Ahaziah’s wicked reign in Judah. “26 Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah; she was a granddaughter of Omri king of Israel. 27 He also walked in the way of the house of Ahab and did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, as the house of Ahab had done, for he was son-in-law to the house of Ahab.“ 2nd Kings 8:26-27, ESV.  That’s further proof that two wrongs don’t make a right!   Listen to God, do what’s right in God’s Word, not what is in your heart.   “[Bear One Another’s Burdens] 6 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.”  Galatians 6:1, ESV.   It’s sometimes harder to forgive a brother than a stranger.  If you see a saint sinning ask yourself; WWJS (What Would Jesus Say)?  Jesus died for us while we were still sinners.  So keep the first thing first. Praising & Praying!

(1,2) The flight of the Syrian army. (3-11) Samaria plentifully supplied. (12-20)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 6, Remember asking God is an important part of the Christian life.  When you pray have faith, expect results. Because he didn’t have faith in God this captain was not be blessed; “1 But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.” 2 Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, “If the Lord himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” But he said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.“ 2nd Kings 7:1-2 , ESV.  God wants your prayer, believe God for a blessing! “16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. 18 Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.” James 5:16-18, ESV.   Pray and let your light shine, keep the first thing first. About God’s Track Record?

Today’s Feast Mar. 4, 2016 – 2 Kings 6 About God’s Track Record? clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.””  Joshua 1:9, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 6; “The sons of the prophets enlarge their habitations, Iron made to swim. (1-7) Elisha discloses the counsels of the Syrians. (8-12) Syrians sent to seize Elisha. (13-23) Samaria besieged, A famine, The king sends to slay Elisha.(24-33)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 6. While the sons of the prophets enlarge their abodes, one of them drops an ax in the water.  God’s prophet throws a sick in the water and the iron ax head floats to the top for retrieval. Elisha knows God will deliver him even when others cannot see it. “15 When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.  “Samaria besieged, A famine, The king sends to slay Elisha.”  2 Kings 6:15-17, ESV.   Why should I wait on the Lord?  Just as God restored the ax head, he will protect you. Don’t get upset when the messenger brings bad news.  Ask God to open your eyes to show you how you are protected.  Trust God and wait on him!  “[Ask, and It Will Be Given] “7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8, ESV.  While you are depending and waiting on God you can talk to Him.  Do his will and ask Him for you needs.  Keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Look back at God’s track record with Elisha.  Jesus gave you salvation and his Word.  He will never leave nor forsake you. Give All Credit To?

Today’s Feast Give All Credit To?  Mar. 3, 2016 – 2 Kings 5 clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. ”  Isaiah 55:8-9, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 5; “Naaman's leprosy. (1-8) The cure of it. (9-14) Elisha refuses Naaman's gifts. (15-19) Gehazi's covetousness and falsehood. (20-27) ” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 5.  The lesson learned secondly today is; never try to take credit or reward for God’s or another man’s work. Interestingly enough a small act of greed gave Gehazi leprosy in this chapter.  “25 He went in and stood before his master, and Elisha said to him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant went nowhere.” 26 But he said to him, “Did not my heart go when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money and garments, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male servants and female servants? 27 Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your descendants forever.” So he went out from his presence a leper, like snow.” 2 Kings 5:25-27, ESV.   When God does a work through you must be sure God gets all the glory.  The credit for God or anyone else’s work is not ours to take.  The first miracle was the curing of leprosy.  Elisha who delivered the directions wouldn’t go to Naaman.  He wanted God to get all the glory for healing Naaman.  “7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” Galatians 6:7-8, ESV.  You can stand tall and let your light shine as a servant of the one true God. Please keep the first thing first.
