Ask yourself; Whom do I serve?   April 20, 2013 - 2 Chronicles 30     Return to Admenu Home           Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully continue to Feast in 2 Chronicles 30   King Hezekiah loved God and decided to keep the Passover house of the Lord at Jerusalem.   King Hezekiah, through grace, turned to God and he was doing all he could to bring others to him.  “26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 27 Then the priests and the Levites arose and blessed the people, and their voice was heard, and their prayer came to his holy habitation in heaven.’ 2 Chronicles 30:26-27 English Standard Version (ESV).  God knew King Hezekiah’s heart. God knows the heat of those who serve him as well as those who are using religion to serve themselves.  Though it was easy to see Hezekiah was sincere because he made Israel as welcome to the Passover, as any of his own subjects.  “12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.” 1 Corinthians 15:20-22 ESV.  Saint’s, you and I must guard against those who are using the gospel for their own gratification.  But not only others we must judge our own hearts.  Am I in God’s service for my own gratification?     The following is from Devotionals By Pastor Glen, “The World Is Not a Stage”       [That’s a link] “…A Christian that is filled with God will be led to compassion for others. Can we get there from here?     April 19, 2013 - 2 Chronicles 29     Return to Admenu Home           Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully continue to Feast in 2 Chronicles 29   King Hezekiah loved God and ruled the kingdom in a Godly manner.  He began his reign honoring God.  The kingdom prospered accordingly.  “35 Besides the great number of burnt offerings, there was the fat of the peace offerings, and there were the drink offerings for the burnt offerings. Thus the service of the house of the Lord was restored. 36 And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because God had provided for the people, for the thing came about suddenly.’ 2 Chronicles 29:35-36 English Standard Version (ESV).  His kingdom prospered because he whole heartedly followed God.  He immediately restored God’s temple.  Then he quickly made sacrifices to atone for the sin of his forbearers and himself.  “But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. How much of our life do we commit?     April 18, 2013 - 2 Chronicles 27-28     Return to Admenu Home           Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully read two chapters we continue to Feast in 2 Chronicles 27&28.    In Chapter 27 we look at Jotham's reign in Judah. The people of Judah were corrupt. Jotham was not committed to the restructuring of the land. Chapter 28 Because of the wicked reign of Ahaz in Judah. - God gave Israel this victory because was angry with the wicked ways of Judah. “22 In the time of his distress he became yet more faithless to the Lord—this same King Ahaz. 23 For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus that had defeated him and said, “Because the gods of the kings of Syria helped them, I will sacrifice to them that they may help me.” But they were the ruin of him and of all Israel.’ 2 Chronicles 28:22-23 English Standard Version (ESV).  It never works to commit halfway to God. We both confess with our mouth and believe with our heart; “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
