Today’s Feast
Oct. 18, 2014- Jonah 2
Reluctant Prophet’s Prayer
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will
spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years. Gods
Not Dead!
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by
reading the book of Jonah Chapter 2; “The
prayer of Jonah. (1-9) He
is delivered from the fish. (10)” - Matthew Henry Concise
Jonah is in trouble he has disobeyed God; (see Jonah 2:1-9)
with his head wrapped in sea
weed and deep in the belly of a fish Jonah calls to God. God hears Jonah’s
penitent prayer and with marvelous mercy (see Jonah 2:10) the fish spits Jonah out on dry land; “10 And
the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.” Jonah 2:10 English Standard Versions
(ESV). When life puts you in a bad situation
(see Psalm 50:14) what you do may save your life; “14
Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the
LORD!” Psalm 27:14 ESV. We who wait on the
Lord and (see Luke
12:4) keep his way will outlast
the wicked. No matter what the
circumstance (see Romans
8:28) all things will work
in our favor if we keep our faith in Jesus.
Do you want to trust God? If the answer is yes; today is the
day of your salvation! Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or
quit anything (see Revelation
3:20) Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute. He wants you
to come just as you are! Do you hear Jesus calling you?
Will you answer Him today? Do you want to find true happiness, peace and
purpose in your life? If the answer is yes to any of these questions

The Feast is intended to encourage Saints to pray and read
every word in the bible! Let me know

The Feast belongs to Jesus you may share it in its entirety

A Big Fish Catches Jonah

A Big Fish Catches Jonah
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will
spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years. Gods
Not Dead!
Dear
Saints,
“( 2 Kings. 14:25 )
deliverance from out of the fish, rendered him a type of our blessed Lord,
who mentions it, so as to show the certain truth of the narrative. All that
was done was easy to the almighty power of the Author and Sustainer of life.
This book shows us, by the example of the Ninevites, how great are the Divine
forbearance and long-suffering towards sinners. It shows a most striking
contrast between the goodness and mercy of God, and the rebellion,
impatience, and peevishness of his servant; and it will be best understood by
those who are most acquainted with their own hearts.
Jonah, sent to Nineveh,
flees to Tarshish. (1-3) He
is stayed by a tempest. (4-7) His
discourse with the mariners. (8-12) He
is cast into the sea, and miraculously preserved. (13-17)” - Matthew Henry Concise
God is telling Jonah to go tell those
Ninnies; (see Jonah 1:1-3)
to repent from their
wickedness and turn to the great I Am; Jonah runs from his ministry. Jonah boards
a boat; God stirs the sea into a storm; the crew (see Jonah
1:4-7) is terrified and throws off cargo.
While all this is going on Jonah sleeps until the captain wakes
him (see Jonah
1:8-12) Jonah tells the crew “ "I am a Hebrew, and I fear the LORD,
the God of heaven, who made the sea. He tells them to throw him into the sea and
they do and the sea became calm; (see
Amos 6:8-14)
and many of the crew worship began to worship our God! However he doesn’t drown because God still has a job for Jonah (he
catches a big fish from the inside); “17 And the LORD appointed a great fish
to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and
three nights. ” Jonah 1:17 English Standard Versions
(ESV). Listen up Saints there is a
lesson here for us! Might not like the
people God put’s in our path (see
2 Peter
3:9) but it’s our job to
pray for God’s will to be done in their life and love them like Jesus does. “14
The friendship of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to
them his covenant. 15 My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he will pluck my
feet out of the net.” Psalm 25:14-15 ESV. We have nothing
to fear and no reason to hate the sinners (see Luke
12:4) it’s the sin against
God and the fact that their life will end in their death still unforgiven. Don’t hide your light from sinners in fear
(see 2
Timothy 1:7 ) let your light shine
to make you fishers of men.
Do your hear Jesus knocking at the door of your heart?
Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything (see Revelation

Edom Will Be Humbled
|
Today’s Feast
Oct. 16, 2014- Obadiah 1
Edom Will Be Humbled
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will
spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years. Gods
Not Dead!
“27 that they should seek God, in the hope
that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually
not far from each one of us,” Acts 17:27
Dear
Saints,
Today we
prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Obadiah Chapter 1
“The first part
denounces the destruction of Edom, dwelling upon the injuries they inflicted
upon the Jews. The second foretells the restoration of the Jews, and the
latter glories of the church.
Destruction to come
upon Edom. Their offences against Jacob. (1-16) The
restoration of the Jews, and their flourishing state in the latter times. (17-21)
Verses
1-16 This prophecy is against Edom. Its destruction seems to have
been typical, as their father Esau's rejection; and to refer to the
destruction of the enemies of the gospel church... Let sorrowful believers
and insolent oppressors know, that the troubles of the righteous will soon
end, but those of the wicked will be eternal.
Verses
17-21 There should be deliverance and holiness at Jerusalem, and the
house of Jacob would again occupy their possessions… His word shall be a
savour of life unto life unto numbers, while it judges and condemns obstinate
unbelievers.” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today I’m departing
from our daily format in order to share what and why The Feast is.
What is “The
Feast”? The Feast is a daily study in God’s word. By reading a chapter a day
(sometimes two) we go through every word in the bible in about three years. I
send the Feast out usually seven days a week, sometimes the weekend Feast is
for Friday Saturday and Sunday. We host a prayer list which we keep up on
prayer every day. http://www.admenu.com/prayer.htm.
We would count it a blessing if you asked us to pray for you!
You can always
reach me by email at: mike@admenu.com I don’t solicit money and I do accept
prayer and prayerful correction. The Saints that subscribe to the Feast love
to pray & they know how to be forgiving because some of them have been
putting up with me for years. We don’t
promote any particular version of the bible because if you pray before you
read the scripture the Holy Spirit will bless you with understanding.
Our Mission; Faith
through the Word We know where faith comes from; "So then faith [comes]
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans
10:17. We also know that you need to belong to a fellowship lead by God.
We are not trying to fill
that need. We just want to help with
prayer when you need it and nourishment on a daily basis. Our Bible reading plan, takes about 15
minutes a day. We read every word in
the Holy Bible in about three year cycles.
