Today’s Feast
God’s Word Is The Light!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We
will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in
God’s Word in approximately three years.
“I have said these
things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have
tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”” John
16:33, English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd
Samuel Chapter
16; “Ziba's falsehood. (1-4) David cursed by Shimei. (5-14) Ahithophel's counsel. (15-23)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Ziba’s flattery to king David
is really a falsehood. David accepts the curses by Shimei, thinking possibly
the curses are from God. Ahithophel’s counsels Absalom to do wicked things. “20 Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Give your counsel. What
shall we do?” 21 Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father’s
concubines, whom he has left to keep the house, and all Israel will hear that
you have made yourself a stench to your father, and the hands of all who are
with you will be strengthened.” 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the
roof. And Absalom went in to his father’s concubines in the sight of all
Israel. 23 Now in those days the counsel that Ahithophel gave was as if one
consulted the word of God; so was all the counsel of Ahithophel esteemed,
both by David and by Absalom.” 2
Samuel 16:20-23, ESV. Dear Saints, what can we say, except to seek
counsel from God? Keep your eyes on Jesus and
his Word, testing men’s words always holding them up to the Light which is God’s
Word! “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the
beginning with God. 3 All things were made
through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In
him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The
light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John
1:1-5, ESV. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord
Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again
tomorrow.
You’ll
find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be
sent to brother Mike at; mike@admenu.com
Don’t
get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation
depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life
to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to
get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day
and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the
Father only.” Matthew
24:36, ESV. We are building our
relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change
anything. Click this link for more

Lord God Be Our Guide!
Today’s Feast
Lord God Be Our Guide!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We
will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in
God’s Word in approximately three years.
“[ I Am the Way, and the Truth,
and the Life ] In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not
so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself,
that where I am you may be also ” John 14:1-3, English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd
Samuel Chapter
15; “Absalom's ambition. (1-6) His conspiracy. (7-12) David leaves Jerusalem. (13-23) David sends back the ark. (24-30) He prays against Ahithophel's counsel. (31-37) ” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Absalom’s ambition seems to
be judge over Israel at first. His ambition soon turns into a conspiracy to
become king. King David leaves Jerusalem, rather than to fight his son. Out
of reverence to God David sends back the ark. He prays against Ahithophel’s
counsel. “32 While David was coming to the summit, where God was
worshiped, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat torn and
dirt on his head. 33 David said to him, “If you go on with me, you will be a
burden to me. 34 But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, ‘I will be
your servant, O king; as I have been your father’s servant in time past, so
now I will be your servant,’ then you will defeat for me the counsel of
Ahithophel. 35 Are not Zadok and Abiathar the priests with you there? So
whatever you hear from the king’s house, tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the
priests. 36 Behold, their two sons are with them there, Ahimaaz, Zadok’s son,
and Jonathan, Abiathar’s
son, and by them you shall send to me everything you hear.” 37 So Hushai,
David’s friend, came into the city, just as Absalom was entering Jerusalem.” 2
Samuel 15:32-37, ESV. David was lax in the
case of son Absalom. Like David, if we fail to do to discipline our children
we are sinning against God. We can’t allow sin to separate us from Jesus. We
need to keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus
Christ. “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of
your law.” Psalm 119:18, ESV. Allow
God to be your guide in this life, make all of your relationships count. If
the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Sin Ruins Everything!
Today’s Feast
Sin Ruins Everything!
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a
day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three
years.
“28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest. ”
Matthew
11:28, English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd
Samuel Chapter
14; “Joab procures Absalom's recall. (1-20) Absalom recalled. (21-24) His personal beauty. (25-27) He is admitted to his father's presence. (28-33) ” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Joab had a wise widow
act as a mourner to procure Absalom’s king David’s son to return to
Jerusalem. Absalom recalled is by his father but not allowed to be in David’s
house. Absalom was a very handsome man and therefor his daughter Tamar was a
beautiful woman. Absalom used treachery against Joab (he burned his crops) in
order to gain admittance to his father’s presence. “32 Absalom
answered Joab, “Behold, I sent word to you, ‘Come here, that I may send you
to the king, to ask, “Why have I come from Gusher? It would be better for me
to be there still.” Now therefore let me go into the presence of the king,
and if there is guilt in me, let him put me to death.’” 33 Then Joab went to
the king and told him, and he summoned Absalom. So he came to the king and
bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king, and the king kissed
Absalom” 2
Samuel 14:32-33, ESV. While Christ paid the price for our sin, never
forget the high price he paid. If you sin on purpose or accident, turn from
sin and ask God forgiveness, he will restore you to your loved ones just as
he did Absalom. While sin separates us from God remember it also ruins any
personal relationships with friends and family. We should endeavor to keep
the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Trouble and
anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight.” Psalm
119:143, ESV. While sin can be the
ruin of our lives, God can and will restore order and love. Through Jesus on
his terms because there is no other name by which we can be saved. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post
the Feast again tomorrow.

THE NATURE OF SIN!
Today’s Feast
THE NATURE OF SIN!
Please join with us
sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying
and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is
within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget
not all his benefits,” Psalm
103:1-2 , English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we
prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter
13; “Ammon's violence to his sister. (1-20) Absalom murders his brother Ammon. (21-29) David's grief, Absalom flees to Geshur. (30-39)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
David still pays for his sin being too easy on his children.
David’s son Amnon was infatuated with his sister and he raped her. After that
he hated his sister. His brother Absalom spoiled by David, living in sin,
murders his brother Amnon. David’s grief multiplies
because he allows his children live in sin. His son Absalom flees to Geshur. “37 But Absalom
fled and went to Talmai the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned
for his son day after day. 38 So Absalom fled and went to Geshur, and was
there three years. 39 And the spirit of the king longed to go out to Absalom,
because he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.” 2 Samuel 13:37-39, ESV. The nature of sin
causes us to hate the people we sin against, think about Amnon how he loved
his sister until he sinned against her “For Christ also suffered once for
sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being
put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,” 1
Peter 3:18, ESV. Pray for each other; be quick to turn from sin and
always in any situation turn to God. Keep the first thing first, that is
salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and
post the Feast again tomorrow.
We thank God for the gift of salvation; we should resist this
cancer called sin, drawing on our faith in God for the strength to avoid sin.
This is why we should keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through
our Lord Jesus Christ. “And so, from the day we
heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with
the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,” Colossians
1:9, ESV. Keep praying for each other,
salvation for every man and that God’s will is done on Earth.
If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again
tomorrow.
You’ll find the praise and
prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be
