Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 16; “The reigns of Baasha and Elah in Israel. (1-14) Reigns of Zimri and Omri in Israel. (15-28) Ahab's wickedness, Hiel rebuilds Jericho. (29-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise.Today we join together and prayerfully read, 1 Kings 16. The reigns of Baasha and Elah are shortened because they led Israel to sin against the Lord God. They worshipped false gods and idols. Zimri and Omri were plagued with fighting against one another. Ahab (not the captain that chased the white whale) was filled with wickedness. Hiel rebuilds Jericho, at the cost of his son’s lives. “33 And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 34 In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation at the cost of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.” 1 Kings 16:33-34, ESV. Listen fathers you are responsible for your family. Christian men aren’t responsible after they are raised. We need to teach them to keep God’s commandments and follow Jesus. “15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”” 1 Peter 1:15-16, ESV. Put Jesus first, it is your responsibility as the head of the family! If you are not a responsible father talk to Jesus, ask him to forgive you. Then keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Fathers you are the head of your house. God will hold you (not your wife) responsible so, man-up in Jesus!. Responsibilities Are Whose?

Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 15; “Wicked reign of Abijam, king of Judah. (1-8) Good reign of Asa, king of Judah. (9-24) The evil reigns of Nadab and Baasha in Israel. (25-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise.
For today we prayerfully read, 1 Kings 15. We
saw, Jeroboam sinning against God, which caused Abijah his son to be sick and
die. The reign of Abijam, king of Judah, started out good, but he
failed to obey God in all his precepts. Good reign of Asa, king of
Judah, he followed and obeyed God in all his precepts. The evil reigns of
Nadab and Baasha in Israel. “33 In the
third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over
all Israel at Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years. 34 He did what was
evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his
sin which he made Israel to sin.” 1 Kings 15:33-34, ESV. What
we see here is that as the father does usually the son follows. There
are exceptions look at King Asa for example. Christian men
and mothers look at the problems we found in this chapter. Children
usually proceed in life in the example you set. That is why we should always
keep God’s commandments and follow God with all our might, doing only that
which was right in God’s eyes. “[Lay Up
Treasures in Heaven] “ 19 “Do not lay up for
yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and
where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and
where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where
your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
” Matthew 6:19-21, ESV. Jesus set the example for us, he alone was worthy. As a parent you must do what is right to set the example for your family. When you are setting the example you should be keeping the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Remember parents it’s your job to see that your children become part of God’s family. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Two Kings Fall!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We
will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in
God’s Word in approximately three years.
“11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love
one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we
love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:11-12, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 14; “Abijah being sick, his mother consults
Ahijah. (1-6) The destruction of Jeroboam's house. (7-20) Rehoboam's wicked reign. (21-31)” - Matthew Henry
Concise.
On
this day we prayerfully read, 1
Kings 14 together. We see, Jeroboam sinning against God,
which caused Abijah his son to be sick and die. His mother
consulted Ahijah. His prophesy for Jeroboam, who didn’t keep God’s
commandments and follow God with all his heart, doing only that which was
right in my eyes there is destruction of Jeroboam’s house. Both Jeroboam and
Rehoboam sinned. “30 And there was war between
Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually. 31 And Rehoboam slept
with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. His
mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. And Abijam his son
reigned in his place” 1
Kings 14:30-311, ESV. The lesson here is pretty straight
forward. We as Christians should always keep God’s commandments and
follow God with all our heart, doing only that which was right in God’s eyes.
“14 Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live; and so the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you, as
you have said.
15 Hate
evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the
LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” Amos
5:14-15, ESV. Our God has saved us as a family, and we should do
what is right as the family of God. Go forth keeping the first
thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Whatever
we do wherever we go, do so as a member of God’s family. If the lord is willing I will post and send

Am I A Witness or Judge?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We

angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor
height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate
us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 13; “Jeroboam's sin reproved. (1-10) The prophet deceived. (11-22) The disobedient prophet is slain, Jeroboam's
obstinacy. (23-34)” - Matthew Henry
Concise.
Let’s
prayerfully read, 1
Kings 12 together today. We see Jeroboam uses altars made
for false gods to make offerings. God sends a message but he ignores it.
The prophet that carries the message is deceived. The disobedient
prophet is slain. Jeroboam never turns from his sin. “29 And the prophet took up the
body of the man of God and laid it on the donkey 30 And he laid the body in
his own grave. And they mourned over him, saying, “Alas, my brother!” 31 And
after he had buried him, he said to his sons, “When I die, bury me in the
grave in which the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones. 32
For the saying that he called out by the word of the Lord against the altar
in Bethel and against all the houses of the high places that are in the
cities of Samaria shall surely come to pass.”” 1
Kings 13:29-32, ESV. Whenever a person disobeys God,
there are consequences. When our God gives you a purpose
follow it thru to the end. Even though the profit disobeyed God,
he was still honored as a man of God. “[Walk in Love] 1 Therefore be
imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk
in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering
and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians
5:1-2, ESV. Our God has saved us to be witnesses not judges. We
are to keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through
the blood of our Lord Jesus. If you see a brother sister, anyone
straying from the path, approach them as the gospel instructs; “15 “If your brother sins against
you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to
you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or
two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the
evidence of two or three witnesses.” Matthew
18:15-17, ESV. Share your hope with all people. If the lord is willing I will post and send

Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 12; “Rehoboam's accession, The people's
petition, His rough answer. (1-15) Ten tribes revolt. (16-24) Jeroboam's idolatry. (25-33)” - Matthew Henry
Concise.
Today
we see Rehoboam’s terrible treatment of the people. These actions
cause ten tribes revolt. Jeroboam sets up idols, to
purposely keep his subjects from worshipping the true God; “25 Then Jeroboam built Shechem
in the hill country of Ephraim and lived there. And he went out from there and
built Penuel. 26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now the kingdom will turn
back to the house of David. 27 If this people go up to offer sacrifices in
the temple of the Lord at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people will turn
again to their lord, to Rehoboam king of Judah, and they will kill me and
return to Rehoboam king of Judah.” 28 So the king took counsel and made two
calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem
long enough. Behold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land
of Egypt.” 29 And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. 30 Then
this thing became a sin, for the people went as far as Dan to be before one. 31
He also made temples on high places and appointed priests from among all the
people, who were not of the Levites. 32 And Jeroboam appointed a feast on the
fifteenth day of the eighth month like the feast that was in Judah, and he
offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the
calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places
that he had made. 33 He went up to the altar that he had made in Bethel on
the fifteenth day in the eighth month, in the month that he had devised from
his own heart. And he instituted a feast for the people of Israel and went up
to the altar to make offerings.” 1
Kings 12:25-33, ESV. When men’s actions are evil they
will purposely avoid the true God. The plain truth is they will
only have a harder life, losing all hope in their hearts. As for
us we have a calling that will ask them to turn to Jesus; “[Called to Be Holy] 13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and
being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to
you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1
Peter 1:13, ESV. Our
God is not willing that any should parish. This is why we need
to keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the
blood of our Lord Jesus. Share your hope with all people. If the lord is willing I will post and send
