Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 3 . This
book tells us that the people gathered as one man to Jerusalem. As
one man they were successful in their efforts; “…And all the people
shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord, because the foundation
of the house of the Lord was laid. 12 But many of the priests and
Levites and heads of fathers’ houses, old men who had seen the first house,
wept with a loud voice when they saw the foundation of this house being laid,
though many shouted aloud for joy, 13 so that the people could not
distinguish the sound of the joyful shout from the sound of the people’s
weeping, for the people shouted with a great shout, and the sound was heard
far away..” Ezra
3:11-13, English Standard Version (ESV). I believe that if we
all yield to the Holy Spirit, join together as one body with Jesus as the
head; we will do great things and shout for Joy. “4 For whatever was written
in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and
through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 May
the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony
with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that
together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ.” Romans
15:4-6 ESV. This is the amazing truth; that thru the grace of
God we can become one in Jesus. We must understand that we must
love one another in Jesus. Love the brothers, sisters and sinners and
hate the sin! This is because there is no room for sin in the
Church. Live to build up the body of our Christ, let your light

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 1 & 2 . As
we continue our course to read thru every word in God’s Word in about 3
years. We start in the book of Ezra with two chapters. Here
is an overview of the book of Ezra; “The history of this book is the
accomplishment of Jeremiah’s prophecy concerning the return of the Jews out
of Babylon. From its contents we especially learn, that every good work will
meet with opposition from enemies, and be hurt by the misconduct of friends;
but that God will make his cause to prevail, notwithstanding all obstacles
and adversaries. The restoration of the Jews was an event of the highest
consequence, tending to preserve religion in the world, and preparing the way
for the appearance of the Great Deliverer, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Matthew
Henry’s Concise Commentary (MHCC). Reading this overview made me
think about our walk with Jesus. How we strive to partake of this feast for a
few minutes every day; “…that every good work will meet with opposition from
enemies, and be hurt by the misconduct of friends; but that God will make his
cause to prevail…”, MHCC. How great is our relationship with
Jesus that in him we overcome all obstacles. “33 I have said these things
to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have
tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John
16:33, ESV. Today I want to address one more thing. That is Mothers; we all have one! It’s
about those of us whose mothers were faithful to keep us in prayer. It’s
about our wives who work to make a home and raise Godly children. For
these faithful mothers we say; Thank You Jesus! “10 An excellent wife who can
find? She is far more precious than jewels… 27 She looks
well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of
idleness. 8 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her
husband also, and he praises her: ” Proverbs
31:10, 27-28, ESV. May God bless our mothers every day.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Corinthians 16 . Paul
encourages the Corinthians to support the needy. Timothy and
Apollos are not to be hindered in their ministries. Paul say’s to
be steadfast in faith and love. Guard against those who do not walk in the
love of God; “22 If anyone has no love for the
Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come! 23 The
grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24 My love be with
you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.” 1
Corinthians 16:22-24, English Standard Version (ESV). Early on
in this chapter he encourages the Saints to be strong in the Lord. Paul
is asking the Corinthians to have compassion for those in need. Those
who are wealthy in the Lord need to be charitable in their actions. “32 Be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians
4:32, ESV. We will be known for our actions. If we
are charitable, forgiving and loving with our brothers and sisters we are
walking with Jesus. Help each other show the same grace Jesus gave
us in our dealings with others. We should let the light of God
shine in every area of our lives. If the Lord is willing I will

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Corinthians 15 . Paul
proves the case for the resurrection of Christ from the dead. Paul
answers those who deny the resurrection of the body. Saints we
will be in the resurrection of believers to eternal life. Those
living will be changed at Christ’s second coming. Through Jesus believers
have victory over death. “58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast,
immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the
Lord your labor is not in vain.” 1
Corinthians 15:58, English Standard Version (ESV). Stand fast
with the gospel of Christ. Never concede to any change or
weakening of the Word to give credence to those who would pervert it for
their own comfort. “5 “If your brother sins against
you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens
to you, you have gained your brother.” Matthew
18:15, ESV. If you observe another saint perverting the Word
of God; in word or deed show them their error in God’s Word. After
all God doesn’t want any to fail. “1 Therefore we must pay much
closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. 2 For
since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every
transgression or disobedience received a just retribution, 3 how
shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at
first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard, 4 while
God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts
of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will of the Holy Spirit
distributed according to his will.” Hebrews
2:1-4, ESV. Here we are Saints; Steady as we go! If the Lord is willing I will send and post

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Corinthians 14 . This
feast teaches us that all things should be done decently and in order.
If any one takes offense to these words they are offended by God, not men. “37 If anyone thinks that he is a
prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to
you are a command of the Lord. 38 If anyone does not
recognize this, he is not recognized.39 So, my brothers, earnestly
desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 40 But
all things should be done decently and in order.” 1
Corinthians 14:37-40, English Standard Version (ESV). God’s
Word frees us from condemnation. We who are freed from sin have an
obligation to share God’s Word. “[Life in the Spirit] 1 There is therefore now no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For
the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus
from the law of sin and death.” Romans
8:1-2, ESV. Once we are free from sin and sealed by the Holy
Spirit, we love the Word of God. We share God’s Word with grace
and love and if any person is offended by what we say they are offended by
God. If we try to change the meaning of what God’s Word, to the
gospel light; we are lying. We would be sending people on the path
to Hell! We also will be repaid with the wages of sin, death and
eternal punishment. If we carry God’s message forward with love
and no malice, we will be repaid with the wages of a Saint, life everlasting
in the kingdom of God. So let’s present Jesus in love, decently and in order
with the Word of God. If the Lord is willing I will send and post the

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Corinthians 13. Paul
tells the Corinthians that they all part of Christ and his church; together
we form one body, with Jesus as Head and us as members. “27 Now you are the body
of Christ and individually members of it. 28 And God has appointed in the
church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then
gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. 29
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?
30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all
interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a
still more excellent way.” 1
Corinthians 12:27-31, English Standard Version. (ESV). Most
importantly we share all these gifts with love. We see that love
is the greatest gift a saint can share. While other things are temporary
God’s love endures forever. “8 Love
never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where
there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it
will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we
prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what
is in part disappears.11 When I was a child, I talked like a
child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man,
I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now
we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now
I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And
now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these
is love.” 1
Corinthians 13:8-13, ESV. We soon find that the love of God
that we share is essential to keeping God’s commandments. That love is to be
shared with our neighbors. “36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in
the Law?”
37 Jesus
replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your
soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and
greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the
Prophets hang on these two commandments.”” Matthew
22:36-40 ESV. How can we love our neighbors when we know they are
not part of the body of Jesus? To quote Robert Waters; “Love your
neighbors hate the sin!” Remember that God is not willing that any
should die in their sin. (see Matthew

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Corinthians 11 . Paul
tells the Corinthians that they should be imitators of him, as he is of
Christ. He reminded the Corinthians to judge themselves so they
will not be judged by others. He tells us how Christians should
conduct themselves when they take communion. “30 That is why many among you are
weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31 But
if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under
such judgment.32 Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way
by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally
condemned with the world.” 1
Corinthians 11:30-32, English Standard Version (ESV). We are
reminded that over indulgence in food or drink is bad for us. Saints
must conduct themselves in a manner which glorifies Jesus. Don’t
add hoops for our brothers and sisters to jump through when they are trying to
follow Jesus. If someone asks us to pray for them we should honor them by
carrying their needs straight to Jesus. “16 Therefore confess your sins to
each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer
of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James
5:16, ESV. Saints should be assured that when they ask one to
another for prayer that the sin or need is NOT fuel for
gossip. In other words prayer for one and another is from our lips
